About this work

Oval cartouche with title flanked by a centaur, with beehive, shepherd's staff and sword as symbols of the theatre, and by the personification of Inspiration, a woman with a bird on her head and a tablet and stylus in her hand. At the top a sacrificial bowl and caduceus.
