About this work

Ornamental frame with eight numbered medallions containing signs pointing to the end of the world from the Gospel of Matthew: Christ with his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane; false prophets perform miracles; people continue to celebrate until Noah boards the ark and the flood breaks out; nations march against each other; people are punished with hunger and plagues; two women turn a millstone, one of them is taken; the master punishes his servant with the sword; darkening of the sun, stars fall from the sky and the moon gives no more light. In the center an altarpiece with the coming of the Son of Man and on the side panels explanations of the scenes in Latin. In the margin a subtitle in Latin.
