About this work
Christ rides seated on a donkey into the city of Jerusalem. Next to the she-donkey walks a foal. A man spreads a cloth on the ground so that Christ can ride over it. People wave with palm branches. On the left in the background, what happened beforehand is visible: two disciples were sent ahead to fetch a she-donkey and her foal. According to the biblical text in Matthew 21:1-9. Print is part of an album.
