About this work

Various pleasure boats on the Sumida River. In the foreground the bow of a boat, with two women and a boy, sitting at a low table on which a bonsai tree stands. In the background a view of the riverbank and part of the Ryogoku bridge. The name of the boat in the foreground is Sumidamaru.
