About this work

A tomb monument in a chapel with two columns and an obelisk. In front stands a winged putto with trumpets to the right next to a skeleton with wings, a mantle, a crown with a snake, a quill and book in its hands, and its foot chained to a ball. Between them stands a bird with its foot on an hourglass. In the lower margin, a four-line German text.
