About this work
Catafalque in Notre Dame, Paris, at the funeral of Maria Theresa on 30 May 1781. On top of a raised platform is the coffin with crown, draperies and two virtues. In front of the platform two censers on pedestals and a standing woman with a crown and a reclining woman with a cornucopia.
