About this work

Design for an altar with rocaille ornaments and in the center an image of the Adoration of the Shepherds. On either side stand Adam and Eve; Eve stands next to the tree of knowledge of good and evil with a serpent. At the top putto heads and a flying angel with a trumpet and palm branch.
