About this work

In the courtyard of a temple the prophet Zechariah, son of Jehoiada, is stoned on the orders of King Joash. On the left the king watches. On the foreground soldiers. The print has a Latin inscription with explanation from the Old Testament and is the sixth print of an eleven-print series.
