About this work
The feast of Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, as an allegory of the sinful meal. The king and his company drink to pagan gods from cups stolen from the temple of Solomon. Then a human hand appears writing on the wall, filling the king with fear. In the background, the murder of Belshazzar. In the margin, a line and a six-line inscription in three columns in Latin explaining the subject.
