About this work
Half-length portrait, in an oval with an inscription border. Julia de la Rovere is dressed in a gown with a lace collar, shoulder pads, and puffed sleeves. Around her neck is a pearl necklace. The bodice (breast) is trimmed with pearls. Asymmetrical hairstyle of frizzed hair. In the center below her family coat of arms and a Latin inscription.
