About this work
The angel Uriel comforts Ezra and helps him to his feet. Next to Ezra is his vision of the radiant woman Zion. As she disappears, Ezra sees the city being built in the background. Below the image, a Latin reference to the apocryphal biblical text in 4 Ezra 10.
