About this work
W.H.B. Sands (1864-1901) was a publisher in Edinburgh. He published several print albums by Toulouse-Lautrec. In 1898, when the artist was in London for two exhibitions of his work, he met Sands, with whom he usually corresponded. At that time both were working on the album 'Treize Lithographies', which was to appear in the same year.
