About this work

The Palais de Justice, with on the corner the tower with a clock, stands in scaffolding during a renovation in 1852 in Paris. In the foreground lies the Pont-au-Change over the Seine. It is busy on the bridge where small figures walk and heavily loaded wagons drive.
