About this work

Landscape with two hunters with their spoil of shot rabbits standing by a hedge. They are startled by Death who crawls over the ground as a skeleton. A hunter loses his rifle and the other aims his weapon. A dog stands with its tail between its legs behind this hunter. At the top in a tree sits an owl and the knotty trunk shows faces. In the distance to the right lies a town. Above the scene is the text Revue Fantaisiste.
