About this work
In the upper left corner, a putto sits on the ground with one leg raised between a jug, a goblet, a blower, a writing desk, and a lute. In the upper right, a putto lies on a cloud holding two trumpets. Plate from a series of flat decorations with grotesques, cartouches, ovals, mascarons, putti, and fantastic creatures. The series consists of three title pages, two text pages with the dedication and preface, and 60 plates, divided into three books.
