About this work
In the foreground, the apostle Peter is asked to pray for Tabitha (Dorcas), a woman who has just died but performed many good works in her community. Widows show the mantles that Tabitha had just made, weeping. On the upper floor of a house, Peter prays by the corpse of Dorcas and raises her to life. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Acts 9:40. This print is part of an album.
