In the background the siege of the city of Shechem, which Levi together with Simeon destroyed as revenge for the dishonor of their sister Dinah. Right: Patriarch Judah, the fourth son of Jacob, in armor. Beside him a lion, a reference to the comparison his father Jacob made between Judah and a lion.
