About this work
The column is decorated with bands of moss. Above the capital stands the French royal crown, from which water flows into the basin. In the corners of the basin are four jets of water upon which balls balance. Leaf 36 from part III of a series consisting of 226 leaves, divided into four books, each with its own title page.
