About this work

Title print for the print series of the inauguration of stadtholder Willem V and Princess Wilhelmina of Prussia in Amsterdam, 30 May – 4 June 1768. Allegorical representation with before a monument the Art of Drawing inspired by Glory, with on the left Commerce, Liberty, and Peace, in the foreground the river gods of Amstel and IJ. In the background the Amsterdam Town Hall. On the monument portrait medallions of the prince and princess and putti with flower garlands.
