About this work
On a globe sits Roma with helmet and fasces flanked by a male and female soldier. An angel crowns her with a laurel wreath. A woman to the right offers her a crown. To the left sit putti by a portrait medallion of Titus Livius. In front of Roma sit prisoners. In the foreground stands the she-wolf with Romulus and Remus and to the right sits a river god as personification of the Tiber.
