About this work

In the center, the title of the print series in an ornamental frame, surrounded by tools, scientific instruments, and musical instruments. The frame is flanked by Adam and Eve. In the middle below, the snake at the foot of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. At the top, Fama with two trumpets and Hercules with a club. In the center lies a personification with various attributes, possibly symbolizing the seven liberal arts.
