Putti with coats of arms of Aegidius van den Bempden, Hendrik Trip, Adriaan van Loon and Reinier Bouwens (mayor and director of the trading company) are flanked by Justice with scales and Minerva with a (liberty) hat in her hand. To the right a putto with the VOC flag, Mercury as god of trade, Neptune as god of the sea, an allegorical female figure and the East India Company warehouse in Amsterdam. To the left trading ships at sea, people representing the East Indian peoples and a woman with an incense burner and a star on her head. In the foreground merchandise.
