About this work
Gideon and his men ambush the Midianites. Around the camp, Gideon's men blow on ram's horns. In their hands they hold water jugs with torches inside. The Midianites think they are being attacked, draw their swords and begin to fight their own men. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Judges 7:19.
