About this work
Upon Elisha's arrival, Gehazi closes the door of the room on the right. The parents of the deceased boy remain outside the room. On the left, Elisha prays to God with raised arms. In the center, he stretches himself over the lifeless boy, mouth to mouth and palms to palms. Thus, Elisha brings the boy back to life. Below the scene, a Latin reference to the biblical text in 2 Kings 4:34. This print is part of an album.
