Christ and Truth (Veritas) embrace each other. He loves the truth (and her followers). In the background, a dark figure (Ahab) hides in a cave. With bow and arrow drawn, this Old Testament king represents those who hate Truth because it brings their wickedness to light. The print has a Latin and a Dutch inscription and is part of a series on the triumph of truth.
