About this work

Jonah sits outside the city of Nineveh, waiting for God to destroy the city. God has caused a gourd plant to grow for him so he can sit in its shade. To the left in the landscape is visible what happened previously: the fish spits Jonah onto land. A line of Latin text below Jonah. This print is part of an album.
