Twenty public figures in various situations

Eleven scenes in which a total of twenty well-known figures of the time are in conversation or talking to themselves. They perform various actions. Some of these actions and dialogues refer to slavery, dependency, or a lack of freedom. Other scenes refer to contemporary politics. Far left, Thurlow sits at a table talking to King George III. On the table lies a bag of money. In the second scene, Queen Charlotte sits smiling behind a piano, singing about her money, referring to her alleged stinginess. In the third scene, the Prince of Wales is chained. He says: 'Delightful Slavery! A day, an hour, of such sweet bondage is worth an eternity of celestial happiness'. The chain is held by Maria Fitzherbert. Next to it, in the fourth scene, William Pitt is performing bloodletting on Warren Hastings, who says 'I trust entirely to your skill for my recovery'. In the fifth scene, three figures (the Duke of York, Hugh Pigot, and Charles James Fox) are sitting at a table gambling.
