About this work

The Virgin Mary in prayer, with her hands folded before her breast. The representation is framed in an ornamental border decorated with figures of the prophet Isaiah, King David and at the very top the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. In the frame a three-line Bible quote from Luke 1 in Latin.
