About this work
A porcelain cup on which two young puppies and a dandelion are depicted stands on a lacquer tray. The black beans on the leaf, like the holly branch and the head of the sardine, serve as protection against evil, so that the new year could begin pure and prosperous. The puppies refer to the new year of the Dog, 1838. With one poem.
