About this work

A standing courtesan watches as her servant hangs a painting of Amanohashidate. This famous place is located in northern Japan and is covered with pine trees. With one poem: Crossing the 'Bridge to Heaven' in the painting of Amanohashidate, the first dream of the new year knows no end.
