The royal company sits at long tables arranged in a semicircle. In front of them stands a row of servants holding torches. Other servants walk back and forth with large platters on their heads. In the foreground - behind a cordon of soldiers - rows of spectators seen from behind. Below the scene two garlands of fruit, above which - on the left - the inscription "Première" and - on the right - "Journée".
