Pamphlet with Loi Lunaire flanked by torches

Pamphlet with text by Charles Meryon about his Loi Lunaire in which he gives his view on the importance of sunlight and fresh air for man. According to him, man benefits greatly from sleeping upright and less use of artificial light sources. On a pamphlet nine lines of text are written: If I were Dictator ... would be called, Loi Lunaire. The pamphlet is flanked by two torches and around the sheet celestial bodies are depicted, referring to the natural light sources mentioned in the text. In the middle below stands a burning oil lamp which according to the law must be used more sparingly.
