About this work

The statue of the Venus de' Medici, an antique sculpture of the goddess Venus. She is depicted in two positions, one intended as a ceiling design and the other for a tapestry. First drawn only in outline using a graphometer. Marked top right: Plate IV. The print is part of the book: A.G. Eckhardt, Description of a General Graphometer, 1778.
