About this work
King Ahab lies disappointed in bed because Naboth refuses to sell him his vineyard. His wife Jezebel stands beside the bed and promises him that she will ensure he gets Naboth's vineyard. Behind Jezebel stands a group of maids and palace guards in the doorway. On the left in the background a depiction of what preceded it: King Ahab asks Naboth to give up his vineyard. Below the depiction a verse in Latin. Print is part of an album.
