About this work
The miraculous multiplication of the loaves: In the middle, Christ sits on the ground, surrounded by his disciples. Peter hands him three loaves. A boy kneels before him with two fish in his hand. To the left in the background, a large group of men, women and children, eating the loaves which are in baskets between them. To the left in the background, a view of a city. Below the scene, four four-line verses in Dutch and a reference to the Bible text in Matt. 14:18.
