About this work

The print is divided into six rectangles. In three rectangles the heads of actors are depicted, and in three, with a bronze or gold background, the poems. The actors from top to bottom are: Iwai Hanshirô VI (1799-1836), Ichikawa Danjûrô VIII (1823-1854) and his father Ichikawa Ebizô V (1791-1859) (formerly Danjûrô VII). Accompanied by three poems.
