About this work

The actor Segawa Kikunojô III (1751-1810) dances the "shiki sanbasô". His name is incorrectly written on the print as Sengawa or Ôgigawa. Above the actor and on the kimono is the family crest of the actor's family. On his kimono are also the long and short months for the year 1797. On the fan is the symbol of the Yomogawa and the emblem of the Kasumiren. With three poems.
