About this work

Album with eleven prints on nineteen sheets and an ex libris on the flyleaf. The prints are mounted in the album and each has a passe-partout. The album contains nine portraits by Jean-Baptiste de Grateloup and two prints by his nephew Jean-Pierre Sylvestre de Grateloup, concerning a portrait and a scene with three soldiers. The album was compiled in Paris between 1771 and 1810. This concerns the complete series 'L'Oeuvre gravé de J.B. de Grateloup de 1765 à 1771'. The album is kept in a cardboard case with decorative paper with pebble marble in red, blue, green, orange and white.
