About this work

In the foreground the art of painting: a female figure behind an easel, palette and brush in hand, surrounded by putti. In the second plane on the right a young sculptor, working with chisel and hammer on a statue (woman with measuring instruments in her hands); behind it a monument and a semicircular wall to represent architecture.
