About this work

Ottaviano Farnese, Duke of Piacenza (1520-1586), in decorated armor on an armored rearing horse. His right arm with a staff raised in the air. Top left, a cartouche with text; top right, a coat of arms with the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Bottom, tiled floor. The representation is framed in an ornate border.
