About this work

Two sets of four emblems with Dutch text and Latin motto on one sheet. Top: Emblems with a crown and scepter on a globe, a crown floating above two walls with triangular elements, an arm with a shield and olive branch, and a lion attacked by bees. Bottom: Emblems with an ostrich, a king on a globe, a snail on a branch, and a snake around a ship.
