About this work

Illustration of the events known as the cruelty of the bull, 1647. The farmer and his pregnant wife who were attacked by a bull on August 29, 1647 in Zaandam. The pregnant woman is taken on the horns, with the child being thrown out of the womb. In a decorative frame of flowers. Numbered top right: N 30.
