Medical promotion

Satire on the physicians and their belief in the blessings of the clyster syringe. On a city square, 'Grand Docteur' Pantalone stands under a canopy behind a lectern and introduces humanity to the beneficial effects of the clyster syringe. Among his prominent victims are Porchinelle, the figure on the toilet with a club in his hand, and a donkey. To the right, dozens of clownish assistants bring syringes in batteries to bare buttocks. To the left, under the podium, treated patients, seated on toilets, undergo the result of the treatment.
