Knight and a Lady

Man's clothing: cape over a doublet and hose; at his feet pointed shoes. Woman's clothing: belt with a bunch of keys and a purse. <BR />Ihle p. 7, 11B: couple in typical German dress from the end of the 15th century. Characteristic of this. Man: doublet with a deep cut to the waist, which is filled with a breast flap, above which a shirt (?) appears. Visible codpiece which will take a prominent place in the fashion of the next century. Doublet is clearly laced to the hose, so bending over is impossible. Mantle attached to the shoulders. High cap on the long hair. Pointed shoes. <BR />Woman: button-shaped braids. Skirted jacket with low neck and split sleeves. Bunch of keys at the belt. (woman of weight)
