About this work

Mary and Joseph kneel before a wooden stable. In the stable stand the ox and the donkey. Between Mary and Joseph stands the manger with the Christ child. To the right four shepherds in adoration of the Child. Above the stable angels with a banner with the text: Gloria in eccelsis [de]o. An angel plays a lyre.
