About this work

Landscape with the Judgment of Paris. Paris must judge the three most beautiful goddesses of Olympus on their beauty: Juno (with the peacock), Venus (with Amor), and Minerva (with a helmet). Paris gives the golden apple of Eris to Venus. Mercury looks to the sky where the gods have gathered. In the margin, a two-line inscription in Latin.
