Siege of Groningen by the States Army under Prince Maurice, May 22 - June 1594. Plan of the city and nearby surroundings with the position of the States troops, the ramparts and trenches to the south of the city. Legend 1-16 printed separately in four columns in Dutch below the plate. At the end of the text the inscription 'Dese stercke Stadt in genome[n] den 22. Iulij. 1594'. Part of the collection of maps taken from a later edition of: Descrittione di tutti i Paesi Bassi by Lodovico Guicciardini.
