About this work
The Christ child leans back against a stone and tramples a snake with his foot as a symbol of evil. In his right hand he holds a globus cruciger and with his left hand he points to the dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit above him. The representation is enclosed in an oval frame with a Latin border inscription.
