About this work
The Phaeacians carry the sleeping Odysseus out of the boat, drawn by two sea-horses, and lay him on a bench on the coast of Ithaca. Bottom right Neptune (who will turn the boat back into stone on the return journey). One of two known prints after destroyed frescoes in La Galerie d'Ulysse in Fontainebleau.
