About this work

Standing woman dressed in a dress of tulle trimmed with 'bouffans' of tulle and satin ornaments. Short puffed sleeves with sheer sheep's leg sleeves over them. On her head a hat or 'chapeau berret' of crêpe trimmed with marabou feathers. Figure in the same dress, seen from the back, seated on a tabouret. Around her shoulders a palatine(?). Print from the fashion magazine Petit Courrier des Dames (1821-1868). Bound (with some pages from Le Journal des Dames et des Modes). 15 January 1827 to 20 March 1830. Incomplete.
